What’s your wave (hustle)?:

Culture, art, and humanitarian work is my wave. I find myself operating in these fields most often and find the most joy in these atmospheres. Currently I'm a health educator focusing on harm and risk reduction with sexual health and substance use disorders.

The first time I discovered my passion was......

I ultimately just go where my heart is. I really enjoy helping others and that shows in a myriad of ways. Working with kids, volunteering, Peace Corps, assisting with photo shoots, community health, encouraging women, empowering marginalized populations, and collaborating with others who are already doing the work.

My biggest influence......

My big sister. She was the one who outfitted me with my first Louis Vuitton. She's confident in her style and does her own thing. She's always been a traveler and very strong in her ideas. She influenced me to be my own person and be creative in my style.

What/who inspires you to do what you do?

People who are thinking about others and creating an impact. Activists, advocates, and artists who are working towards solving problems for others, create awareness, or highlighting the experiences they go through. Also, women! Women are so strong, resilient, and resourceful. That's what inspires me. I just want to continue making the world a more harmonious place.

Who do you hope to inspire?

I hope to inspire collaboration, and community. We all have a gift to share. Empower yourself to work on that gift and in turn you are empowering others. It's okay to support others. Supporting each other in the city is important, great way for the city to grow. There are a lot of amazing individuals doing things here, why not encourage them.

What are you creating right now?

I'm working a few things right now. One of them is an event called Wine Down with my cousin Alisha. this interactive event focuses on gathering millennial women creating space for them to connect and release. Also working on a really fun health event collaborating with other organizations and artists here in Columbus.

What do you have coming up down the road?

Both of these events are coming up soon. Wine Down will be Nov 20. Save the date ladies. So be on the look out!

Where can we find/see/learn more about your work?

Twitter & Instagram @anomalygray , @winedowncolumbus is where I'm active most!

What message do you want to share to inspire others?

A few things:

  1. If you are struggling to find your wave, think about ways you can help someone else. You might find some joy in that.

  2. Go get tested! Taking control of your own sexual health is sexy.

  3. Share some love. Be light.
